So, to those of you who may or may not know, on June 5th, my grandmother, who'd been fighting lung cancer for the last year or so, passed away. We got the phone call at 12:34 am - she'd been sleeping for the three days previous, having been put on a morphine drip for pain when she made the decision to transfer to hospice care. We'd spent the last three days there - sleeping on cots, chairs, the floor, what-have-you - when it seemed like she was going to slip away at any minute.
